Gunite is our specialty. It gives you the most freedom in shape, size and finish, and it’s built to last. Aqua Doctor designs every pool around your yard, your home and how you plan to use it. Want a shallow play area for the kids or a long swim lane? We build it to fit.
Gunite is a concrete mix sprayed over a steel rebar frame. Once it cures, it forms a solid, one-piece shell. The shell is then finished with tile, coping and an interior surface. Because it’s shaped on site, it isn’t limited to factory molds or standard sizes.
Almost any shape works, from classic rectangles to freeforms that follow the curve of your yard. You choose the depth, steps, benches and tanning ledges. Planning a diving board? We’ll set the depth and layout to fit it during design.
Steel and concrete make a strong, lasting shell. Over time, the surfaces can be refreshed with new plaster, tile or coping instead of replacing the pool. When that day comes, our gunite renovation team can handle it.
